These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Verba Global website (the "Website") and the online language tuition and related services offered through it (the "Services"). The Website and Services are operated by VERBA GLOBAL LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at Stoney Works, 8 Stoney Lane, London, United Kingdom, SE19 3BD ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the Website, submitting an application, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or Services.
1. Definitions
- Student — a person who books or attends lessons.
- Lesson — a single online session in one of the formats published on the Programs & Pricing page.
- Application — a request submitted through the Website form to start lessons or a consultation.
2. The Services
We provide online tuition in foreign languages, delivered remotely by video call. Lessons are offered in several formats — including individual, pair and group sessions — as described on the Programs & Pricing page. Lesson descriptions, formats, durations and prices may be updated from time to time; the version published on the Website at the time of booking applies.
3. Eligibility
The Services are intended for adults and for minors acting with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By submitting an application you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are entitled to enter into these Terms.
4. Applications and booking
You can request lessons by submitting the application form on the Website. Submitting an application does not by itself create a binding booking; a booking is confirmed once we agree a schedule and payment terms with you. We may decline or cancel an application at our discretion.
5. Free trial lesson
We may offer a free trial lesson to assess your level and goals. The trial lesson carries no monetary value, creates no obligation to purchase further lessons, and is provided subject to availability.
6. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in euro (EUR) on the Programs & Pricing page.
- Lessons are payable per lesson or per package, as described for each format.
- Payment is due in advance of the relevant lesson or package unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We may change prices for future bookings; changes do not affect lessons already paid for.
7. Scheduling, rescheduling and cancellation
Lesson times are agreed individually. Conditions for rescheduling, cancellation and refunds are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep your contact details up to date.
- Attend booked lessons on time and ensure you have a working internet connection and device.
- Use the Website and Services only for lawful purposes and not to infringe the rights of others.
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Website and all teaching materials we provide — including text, graphics, logos and lesson resources — are owned by or licensed to VERBA GLOBAL LLP and are protected by applicable law. You may use them only for your own personal learning and may not copy, redistribute or resell them without our written permission.
10. Personal data
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Services you acknowledge that processing.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcome, examination result or level of proficiency, as results depend on each Student's effort and circumstances. The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VERBA GLOBAL LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, arising from use of the Website or Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the Website or Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
